Involvement Expo

Today's Involvement Expo was a great success, we had more than eighty students sign up for more information about Females for Firearms. We also caught the attention of a reporter from the Grand Forks Herald.

Whatever their current state of liberation, the students are back at UND, forming long lines at the parking office, testing the wireless reception in the coffee shop, sizing up instructors and signing up for the Marketing Club, or the Ski Club, or ... Females for Firearms?

“We teach people how to use firearms and not be afraid of them,” said Aly Snyder, 22, a leader of the group. A graduate student in economics, Snyder staffed the Females for Firearms booth at an “involvement expo” this week in front of the Memorial Student Union.

“People join for all sorts of reasons,” she said, “from recreation to personal protection.”

A special F4F welcome to the new students on campus, to our newest members, and to everybody who stopped by to learn what we are all about. Our first meeting will be Tuesday, September 9th at 7pm in the Student Union.
