
The purpose of this event is to abolish some mystery behind various firearms by providing a hands-on approach for students to make themselves familiar with what is found throughout the United States. Through education, it is hoped that students will be able to understand that firearms a little better and enhance their knowledge of a very long American pass time.
This is designed to be a positive event and strictly for the purpose of education in various aspects/types of firearms. Through this event, it is hoped that students have a new appreciation for the sporting value and the personal defense attributes that firearms provide the every day citizen, while also learning about safety.
Classes:
During the morning, there will be Conceal Carry Permit classes provided by Rusty and Laura Ramirez, then in the afternoon there will be stations established for students to rotate through to learn about various firearms.
Station Leaders:
There will be many instructors providing vast amounts of knowledge for the students that wish to attend the stations mentioned below. For those of you that are interested in knowing the credentials of some of those managing the stations, you will find a very knowledgeable group of individuals. Many of these station leaders offer more than one "hat", if you will, as far as credentials that validate their knowledge and what you may be able to gleam from sitting through the stations.
There will be individuals that represent the following organizations:
- East Grand Forks Rod & Gun Club
- Coon 'N Crocket Club
- PermitToCarry.Org
- North Dakota Hunter Education
- Department of Homeland Security (DHS)
- Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE)
There will also be individuals providing instruction that currently hold a Federal Firearms License and will be able to answer questions regarding firearm laws and regulations for both federal and state
governments.
Some of the individuals that will be attending the stations are also veterans that have either served with the conventional military or the special operations community of the military in combat ranging from Vietnam to Iraq.

There will be stations setup at the range in the afternoon broken down into the following categories:

- Black Powder
- Cowboy Action
- Shotguns
- Standard Hunting Rifles
- Assault Rifles/Military Rifles since 1918
